Somalisa Expeditions sits among a grove of acacia trees in a private, 150km2 concession in the heart of Hwange National Park close to its sister camps Somalisa and Somalisa Acacia. The camp has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere with a personal touch.
There are six tented rooms built on raised wooden platforms along a tree line marking a dry riverbed. Guests can sit on their private deck and take in the views of the area as wildlife often use the dry river beds as a walkway. Each ensuite bathroom has a flushing loo, bucket shower and basin.
The main area consists of a lounge and dining area raised on a wooden deck and infront of this, is a small swimming pool where guests can cool off. However, you may have the company of an elephant or two coming for a drink as they prefer the crystal clear water to that of the waterhole.
Activities at Somalisa Expeditions include game drives and walking safaris – usually take place within the concession, but can also venture further into Hwange
